Sorry mate, they put me into commercial member and seems now if I put a link to our blog or cruising guide they zap it. Think I'll give up.

Thanks for the tip - but it would not surprise me that they take that away as soon as they read this thread.

I've been having a tit for tat conversation with TaoJones, this forums Director, Marketing & Advertising and basically what it boils down to is he wants me to pay to contribute.
All our info; cruising guide, maps, photos, design notes, screensavers, etc is on our website because we actually have heaps of followers who use them. But because we also have one single book for sale, we are commercial, and cannot put a link up unless I pay a hundred bucks or some such sum annually. Now If we had heaps of stuff to sell, it might be worthwhile. But you know we've never sold even one book to anyone on this forum ever! We sell mostly through boat books, direct presentations or word of mouth.

We're wondering if this will alter how effectively this site will function.
Anyways, thanks for the heads up.

Be a grand photo story of ours on Macquarie Harbour come out in the December issue of Sail magazine. Hopefully the photos will be smashing.
Cheers

Re: Sailing Guide to Western Australia Online

Come on Tao Jones.

You are usually much more resonable than this.

The free information for all members is worth any number of books that might (or more likely not) be sold from going to the website.
