Oh ya, I forgot she was military. I thought . . well, never mind.

You can't single hand?? With small kids? What's up with that?

Haha! Well, single-handing is no problem in this boat once you're away from the pier, but having a 2- and 4- year old would be a little tough without a sitter, opps, I mean "crew"!

Just put them down below and put the washboards up. They can't hurt anything down there... "Hey kids- turn off that thru hull and and get out of the engine room with the tool chest! I mean it!"
Well on the other hand- maybe a second adult is a good thing.

In an attempt to get this thread, and a get together, back on track several posts have been deleted. This was preferable to closing it for the personal attacks and political ranting.

Have fun with the meet up, sounds like a good time.

Thank you. I had thought about raising a ruckus, but felt somewhat helpless. Lets get back to having a good time. Does anyone want to be at Sucia before Monday afternoon? If not, I will be happy to reserve a table...

My schedule is unknown at this point and Oh Joy is still in pieces so I'd have to crew with someone to make this trip. It'd have to be on a US boat that's staying in US waters as I have no passport at the moment.

I checked the tides recently, it looks like 1700 for me, as I ride the tide out of Bellingham and sail up to Sucia. Still not a bad time to start a party....
Forgive my purist approach. But if I am not sailing I am just not having as much fun...

First Post

Hey all! I'm a new member and new boat owner. I'm in Vancouver right now and would definitely be down to meet up. There was a post a while back stating that there would be a link to buy a CF flag at some point. Did this ever happen? I would get one.

Hmmm...I have a ready boat, but can't take care of the two small ones since I'd be single-handed. You might not have a ready boat, but have a few daughters that are the perfect baby-sitting age. If I can take off work, maybe we can work something out!!
