Seattle to San Diego Buddy Boat

Leaving the Seattle region around June 18th/20th and heading to S. D., anyone else planning on heading that way?

wsw until 126 west then roughly south till lat 38 then a stop in Morro Bay. All depends of whole a low off Japan looks at the time and weather off the coast of Oregon and Northern Cal. May, and I repeat, may run inside if the weather is favorable. If rotten then I like staying outside until I get below S.F. First leg is from Lake Union to Neah Bay. Should be a good shakedown with the owner and his 2 friends. Plus there have been many upgrades since he bought a month or so ago, so a long shakedown before open water is a good thing. Too bad you aren't ready to go now!

I like to avoid bar entrance harbours when coming back inshore after a few days at sea.Unless southerly winds present,much less stressful to round a point into a sheltered bay and drop the hook,even if swell/wind is up.Port Orford is a good midway stop before Drakes Bay.
