'Turicum' Back Home After Nineteen Days

The crew of Turicum pulled into Victoria Harbour around noon last Sunday after 19 days from Maui. One of the family of the one of the crew posted our track on Google Maps along with some of the postings we sent back.

TinyURL.com - shorten that long URL into a tiny URL

The trip was upwind the almost the whole way. We did some powering to get through the worst of the Pacific high which then shifted way north giving us strong northerlies for the last few days. We did not fare as badly was one of the other boats which had 36 hours of gale force winds.

I am home until September 1 - and then headed out into the Pacific on another trip around Vancouver Island.

Pictures to follow.

Jack
