Seychelles

Hello Yall
New to sailing, and to kill time till the houseing market picks up we've been looking at boats and sailing locals.Does anyone have any info.on the Seychelles islands. They are stunning!!! And they're said to have perfect sailing conditions year around.

Hi Shock - the boat and setting on my profile are Seychelles - spent two weeks bareboat charter on a Catana 47 - Awesome!
Happy to help with any questions. Check out dreamyachtcharter.com - we used them - very reasonable and good boats. Seychelles can be very expensive or very reasonable if you shop around a bit. We ate fresh fish caught off our boat every day and the snorkelling is spectacular. Very unspoilt - lots of deserted islands and beaches.
My catamaran is probably going end up doing some charter work in that area in 2010 - once you've been you get hooked!
Let me know if you have questions
Regards - David

Our founder, Gisle, kept his catamaran in the Seychelles, and (at one time) intended to charter her out of the Islands.

Remote and Spectacular Islands

Great sailing when we were there in June, 1 wk after the big sunami a few years ago. Remote, beautiful, and very few others in the anchorages. We had superb weather and wind all 10 days. We enjoyed meeting a number of the locals. They are industrious and friendly.

Be warned that there is only a few places where the coral has not been destroyed or damaged by some warm water they got a number of years ago. Consequently, the diving is not so good.

Have attached a couple pictures from the trip for your pleasure.
