Australia and more

Australian couple willing and wanting to crew sailing yachts around australia or further a field. Husband has yacht masters and has taken part in many deliveries assisting boat owners. Wife is a bit of a novice but sea savvy and has recently joined husband on deliveries. We are in our 60s and sail as a couple. We are active, have no health issues, don’t take medications and have no special dietary requirements.
Ideally would like to join another couple on their travels etc. We are retired and readily available. Husband is mechanical/electrical savvy as well as all aspects of sailing ie navigate, watch keeping and general duties. Wifey is good domestically ie cooking, keeping house as well as joining in watch keeping etc. hoping to hear about suitable opportunities. Philip

Re: Australia and more

Genoa and I are bareboat chartering in the Seychelles in early November. We are credentialed, experienced sailors in our 50's (just) and former boat owners yet still going buy another one. We'll cover travel and boat fees/charter costs. We would like to have 1 additional competent crew join us on this incredible trip. If interested, please PM us so we can connect.

Re: Australia and more

Dear Genoa-what a fabulous possible opportunity. Since I posted in crew available my back has developed compaction in my lower spine which is treatable by an operation and I’m waiting for this to be scheduled in. Both me and my wife are physically fit and active other than this. My operation would need some recovery time and I note your plans for November. However it would be remiss of me not to tell you our situation. I believe, by the time of the trip I will be fully recovered and we both would be very keen to assist you.
I understand you may wish to look for others who are more certain of their plans.
We would like to keep in touch to see how things develop and we both wish you all the best.

It seems the more we look and read, the more confused we get about the boat to buy! terminalcitygrl General Sailing Forum 97 12-12-2012 18:52
