Bahamas to USVI

Looking for one more hand on catamaran delivery from Bahamas to the USVI. Leaving Aug 5th or 6th, weather allowing. Please be available to travel on the 3rd or 4th. A US PASSPORT is mandatory. Some verifiable sailing experience is also mandatory, and offshore experience is a big plus, and so is proficiency with lights and sounds. Pay is modest at best, this is suited for someone newly credentialed, or an experienced amateur.
She's a 2022 Bali 48 equipped for offshore passages. All responsibilities shared. You will be one of 3 aboard, and have private bunk. Boat runs non-stop on rotating watch schedule. Smoking, vaping, and alcohol not allowed. Expect 7 to 9 days underway. Boat pays for provisions. Pay depends on experience. Travel reimbursed for crew in FLA or USVI, others negotiable. This will be a bumpy ride, at best. If you believe you're a good fit, please send info about yourself and experience. Thank you

Re: Bahamas to USVI

Hi Winston,

I noticed your post and I am very interested in this trip. However I noticed some weather around the time your scheduled departure. If you find that you want to depart earlier or later I would be glad to buy my own flight to Nassau, Bahamas. Alaska Airlines has a direct flight and I would arrive at 9:35am the next day.

* not looking for compensation.
* willing to split the costs of food
* don't smoke or do drugs
* don't drink on passage
* hold a valid US Passpor
* don't have a criminal record
* looking to gain sea miles with a safe crew and vessel

I am a 48 year old engineer that has been boating since my youth but I just started sailing during the last four years. As an avid traveler I am looking for ways to gain more seatime aboard catamarans since I plan on buying one in 3 years once my last child goes to college.

Over the past couple years I have spent several weeks chartering sailing monohulls and catamarans in the San Juan Islands, Gulf Islands, and the USVI/BVI islands.

If you would like to set up a time for a video call to see if our interests align please let me know.

Thank you for your consideration,
Patrick

I am holding a B1/B2 visa validity until 2023 and an European Passport.
STCW valid, and an expired medical certificate which can be renewed.
US passport is mandatory because the boat is US flagged?
