Crew Wanted: Delivery Newport to Panama

Looking for 1 crew Newport to Panama 16m sailing yacht; end of april - 2 week trip +-, all expenses and travel to and from boat covered.

Will be a crew of 3

Must have offshore sailing experience, and able to hold a watch.

Please provide more detail about your trip. I crewed on a 40ft sloop from Panama to San Diego, and it took us 5 weeks.

Newport Ca isn't the only Newport in the US. My bad - Newport RI .

Newport, > cross the stream> sw of Bermuda, windward passage = 2200 miles

200 mile a day boat. tankage for 800 mile motoring range..

12-16 days conservatively...

I am interested in discussing this delivery further with you. Timing is right for me. Can easily meet your requirements crew wise. Been delivering boats for fun since 2004. Have 40,0000 or so nms of bluewater and two Atlantic crossings. No health issues. Don’t smoke, but don’t care if you do. Mechanically inclined. Can cook when called upon, and will even get a complement or two once in awhile. Resume can easily be provided. References too if required.

If interested how do u propose to discuss this further outside of the forum?

Even Newport CA to Panama is down wind and down current most of the time. No wonder it took the other respondent five weeks from Panama to San Diego!

Put me on your list for crew, even if you depart later. I'm from Panama and have a PA passport. Located on my sailboat in Florida currently. Have transmitted the canal many times, and have pilot buddy's who can help pull strings with your transit if the need arrived. Been sailing blue water since 1980. Have done deliveries for years.
