One of the challenges conveying tone over the internet because there are people who would likely argue this point as if it was true.

That only strengthens my point.

Workers in 3rd world countries are making better wages than the OP is offering.

2 people (with a professional skill set) working 12hr/day 7 days/week for 6 weeks that's 1008 hours...so you would be making a little less than $1/hr.

That assumes no pre or post trip work and no overlap where both are working simultaneously...your having difficulty managing a sail in a squall...too bad it's my free time.

Of course, that's aussie dollars, so about $0.75/hr in USD.
That voyage is closer 6 months than 6 weeks. Care to re-calculate?

Wow what I could do with all that money maybe buy toilet paper and take it to Australia and sell for a profit to help pay for my air fare back .
Once in Ozz you get two weeks in quarantine to relax what fun can you have .
The adventure of sailing to Australia down in the roaring 40s just makes you want to sign on anyone else want to sign on with me?

Ahh, Come on youse guys, The OP is probably just someone new to this and doesn't understand much (yet). I think you have successfully scared her off and she will most likely be afraid to post another question even if she does somehow get a boat. I do think though she has gotten the idea that this can't happen the way she expected it to or for the costs she factored in.

Did anyone else notice there was no mention of an autopilot or any form of self steering mentioned in the equipment list? So two crew standing watch on watch for six weeks (Ha! Six weeks, if you take a short cut through a worm hole.). But when you're off watch you can relax and enjoy yourself.

Re: Expenses Paid+ flights & bonuses-Spain to Australia

This is hilarious. I used to net US$6000 for deliveries from Hawaii back to US mainland 20 years ago. And these were fully functional well set up vessels. Still...... I might be interested, dementia can do that to you.
