Remember the old saying, "shave and a hair cut 2 bits". They used to take a quarter and literally cut it up to make change (ie: a bit)...somehow, I think the OP is time warped from those days for the pricing estimates.

Re: Expenses Paid+ flights & bonuses-Spain to Australia

Hi All, Capt VR here.
Just had a 1/2 hour wiped out on this blog by computer glitch. I'll do a shorter one.
To start, your talking 80 days northern route 108 days the southern route. Two men on a 3-5 day trip. Three men on board from Florida to USVI or BVI. This trip would be four experienced crewmen. I charge $300 a day 200 ton license, all oceans, on Lloyds approved list. $200 a day for deck crew. To take responsibility for vessel and lives I would not charge less. By the time your done, I could see 50k in this delivery. This is not a vacation cruise, this is a bitching, demanding delivery with numerous caveats along the way, especially the Suez Canal or South of Africa.
If I was the owner, I would seek shipping as deck cargo and would just about insure a safe delivery, for half of a crewed delivery cost. The other choice, sell the boat there and by another in Australia or NewZeland.
That is your choices. Get a green crew, thinking this is a good time builder, I would almost bet you'll lose the boat and be responsible for the lives lost. It will cost you 50 large to have it delivered by experienced crew..... Those days I mentioned 80 and 108 are for 24 hour days averaging 144 miles a day. Not pulling out pilots and checking currents and prevailing winds, I would say tack on at least another 10 days on either for true delivery time.
Hope that gives you some true insight on this delivery, ship it, it will truly be cheaper in the long run and probably more time efficient.
Happy sailing all. Capt. Vince Rakstis, Ret MS St.Petersberg, Fl.

PS: I know there's going to be many that say this vessel would do 200 miles a day. No it will never see it. Some of the day's yes, few, others at maybe 100 miles. 150 for an average, maybe. It's a fun ride if you compare it to the Spanish Inquisition.
We never did talk about time for inspection and corrections before departure.

And they are underway maybe an hour or two a day. If something breaks, they call the charter operator who runs out in a skiff and fixes it. They have a cooler full of brew they use to medicate if family time gets to be too much.

Might as well compare it to a round the world cruise with a midnight buffet.

... and the next job: Delivery of ETNZ's foiler from Auckland to Harare for Robert Mugabe. Only 8,000nm at 40kts boat speed = 200 hours trip time.
Easy as Zip Zip Zip. And he'll pay generously in cash when you arrive.

Just send your bank account number and $100 to this Nigerian so he can put the paperwork in place.

what an unjust world:
I gotta pay for car, gas & running expenses - & the taxidriver gets the car & even paid for the driving!
(Same injustice with all the sports-professionals, btw!)

Re: Expenses Paid+ flights & bonuses-Spain to Australia

Mmmmm, the sailing distance for this trip will be in the region of 13500nm. Sailing, non stop at 6kt, would take around 95 days.

Funny that the OP has not passed any comments on the remarks posted above! I think some adjustment in the “terms and conditions” in post #1 need to be made. My lowest fee would be around $30,000 US plus, plus, plus! Ah well, good luck to the OP! The wonder of the Internet!
