Great. Probably the only part of the trip that might be rough is the Yucatan straight and that is only 100 miles. This time I'm using Chris Parker for WX so then I can blame him for the crappy conditions.
I'll pm you.

I don't know what you are talking about. I'd like to meet up near the Space Coast somewhere, get outside and then non stop to Key West if possible.

Re: FL to Belize

Eric; The plan is to sail from Key West down along the coast of Cuba to Isla Mujeres, MX. Then a sail down the coast of MX, stopping once or twice maybe, on the way to Belize. Once in Belize it would be a week of day sails to the Rio Dulce. I don't plan to spend any time out near the reef just a quick sail down the middle.

Re: FL to Belize

Name is Mahoney
33 years old
Father, backpacker, adventure seeker
Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese
Amateur sailor, fast learner (I've sailed a few times and read the ASA books).
Excellent cook
Will clean and stand watch

I'll be working in Orlando from Dec 28th - January 16th (estimate).

I'm looking for sailing hours. Would love to volunteer and gain experience. Up for going anywhere. I own land in Nicaragua and could disembark there or Costa Rica. But I'm also interested in sailing further if the fit
Is right.

Love fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, spear fishing, swimming.

Plan on buying my own sailboat in a years time.

Hope to hear from you!

Re: FL to Belize

I have one solid crew so far, he bought a plane ticket. We could handle maybe 2 more during a passage but sitting at anchor in Key West waiting for good WX in December, it could get crowded on board. It's a pretty small boat.
I would like to reach the Rio Dulce by XMass but I will not rush things. Cruising can be very slow. We could drop off crew in Key West, MX, Belize or Guatemala.

Hey Guy!

I'm available in January if WX has kept you from leaving. Would love to join you and help go wherever! I'll also be in Florida too so easy for me to rendezvous.

Be well
