Crew Wanted: Flying from BVI to Florida? Assistance needed

So this crew request message is likely going to appeal to someone who has maybe completed a delivery/work in Tortola, BVI and is planning to fly back to Florida (hopefully Ft Lauderdale/Miami/Orlando/Tampa)

I went looking for boats in the BVI and took a big duffel bag as luggage
Convinced that I was going to close on one of the three boats that all felt like a "go" after my trip, I decided to leave my bag in BVI to await my imminent return.
First choice failed it's survey, and while trying to haggle with the owners (who would not budge a single dollar) I was out of pocket HaulOut+Survey
2nd choice boat sold while I was awaiting survey results and 3rd choice turned into a bidding war (which i refused to try and win)

So 3 months later, I have a boat in Florida! Feels great...apart from a whole bunch of stuff i bought being in a bag in BVI

If anyone is coming back from Tortola anytime within 15-March and 10-April
I have a courier job for you if you're interested.
I can meet you at the Florida airport to collect the bag

As I type this, I'm smirking slightly - my desperate attempt to find all the stars aligning also sounds a bit like a stranger is asking someone to bring 20kgs of potential contraband into the US
It's 100% above board though and you could check through the bag to feel comfortable too
(Bag has kitchenwares, bedding, kids toys and books)

Value of bag & contents vs. value of the "courier" service?

I only ask because I paid $50 a month for a storage shed and 2 years later realized I only had $500 worth of contents. That was about $700 thrown away..

Totally get what you mean
Getting my bag back in the next few weeks (if possible) will leave me worse off than break even financially
What I'm faced with is :
Buying the stuff we need, that's waiting for me in the BVI, about $50-150
Kids stuff was brought over from UK to Canada, where we live, by their Grandma (not easily repurchased)
Currently costing me $50 a month in storage also, will settle that bill with the guy when I or "courier" collects

Getting the bag in the next few weeks, will save me having to wait 2 or 3 months before reaching the BVIs
More for convenience than financial sense (that $'sense ship has sailed to LiveAndLearnLand )

Whatever you do take reply seriously! I did the same thing with the contents of an entire house, (stored nearly 2years), then realized it was mostly junk!�� It cost me a fortune!!

Nudging the thread to see if anyone else might be coming back from Tortola soon?
I've heard back from the guy on island and he is able to host the collection

We're now living on our boat in CrackerBoyBoat works in Riviera Beach

Contact charter companies in the BVI. otherwise a shipping company. I doubt anyone will just bring a bag on board. Timing is right for deliveries from boats up to the US from the BVI though.
