Helper, Learner - who will take me along on passages

Want to learn how to sail and live on a multihull.
Have Lakewater sailing experiences (Tornado Cat, and various single hull boats - sloops and schooners).

I am very well educated, have many interest, am funny, handyman, quite good cook. Speak 4 languages (English, German, French, some Italian and Swiss German - my mother tongue).

Would like to do passages if possible. Will be your mate, sailor, helper, pupil - eager to learn everything about boating (prepare the trip, buying food, how to store it, fixing things on board, and - of course - sailing in all conditions.

Can fly everywhere.

Best
Stephan

Thinking about your post, you are more advanced in skills than many looking for ways into cruising, and wonder whether you are ready to purchase your first boat. Yes, there is a learning curve from lake to coastal, but you can learn navigation, weather, and waves by a gradual process of experience, and it will happen faster if you invite others to sail with you than trying to find others to take you along. Seven or 8 meter weekend boats are common for this purpose, but so are 9 and 10 meter boats that are potential live aboards if you like being with yourself a whole bunch. Any cat from 8 meters up is comfortable, as well. Obviously, I can't speak to the details of your situation, but I do hope that you'll give it some thought.
