Crew Wanted: Helper needed gulf crossing

I'm needing a Helper to sail from galveston to Gulfport. I have a cape dory 30 cutter. Flexible now til February.

I hope you’ve looked at the charts offshore of Louisiana. There are literally thousands of platforms and related structure. Not all are marked, not all are lit. Not so bad until you get south of Vermillion Bay and Tiger Shoal. Going far enough off to avoid the thickest adds lots of miles. Certainly no place I’d want to be with a highly likely norther blowing through. The ditch is dull, boring, etc. but if you’re headed to Gulfport it will save a lot of time. But Mississippi Sound, Mobile Bay are worth the effort. Done it many times, most recently last spring.

Interesting. I have some time limitations so hence the question about your expected timeframe. Also, I don’t have a lot of experience, but that’s why I inquired.
I do understand that a passage can be unpredictable. It’s going to be a challenge for me to find a fit, I know.
