looking for a boat just anywhere

Im looking for a boat to crew on to get some experience and new adventures.
Now Im living at Israel, Eilat. Small city and ready for the big world.

I am single. 24 years old. In great shape. I have Israeli Privet and commercial sailboat license.

Im sailing a lot with my friends around the small sea that we have here.
And i sailed in greece twice each time for a week journey, a little bit in Canada, vancouver, And Costa Rica On the Pacific side.

My dream is to get my own boat but I need to get more experience outside the small bay that I live on.

Please message or email me anytime!

Jackie.

My boat is not moving until spring, but just wondered, is the Peace Cafe still open in Eilat, what about Red Lion, and is the tornado thing that you practice free fall on still there, I built that.

Big thanks GordMay!!

And for you Atlantical, first of all it very nice to see someone who lived in my city :P
but the peace cafe is closed, the free fall practice is closed too for a long time I remember it only when I was a kid. And what was the Red Lion?

The season for atlantic crossings is approaching. There are always boats looking for crew for that passage, with most starting in the Canaries (Los Palmas). Maybe focus on that?

Re: looking for a boat just anywhere

The Red lion was an english type pub in the tourist center, Eilat changed all the time though, building going on all the time. The free fall thing was built by Moshe Ritter, he also owned a boat I think it was the Ronya, i worked on that for a while, then did the welding on that free fall thing, fabricated it in Eilat, then took it down to where it was sited. The guy who had the contract to build it (who I worked for) was south african but had immigrated to Israel, he lived on a three masted boat in Eilat, really nice boat, he built it in South Africa and sailed it up. It was about twenty meter's only three masted boat in Israel. Havent been in Eilat in over twenty years, probably wouldn't recognise it. Great place though, had great times there. It was a great place for travelers.

Re: looking for a boat just anywhere

Hamburking thank you for the tip! ill start searching immediatly about atlantic crossing! WOW is sounds amazing!

As for you Atlantical. I was working till one year ago with a south african guy named Allan Marcus. He immigrated too from Cap Town. Nice old captain with A LOT of stories that I couldn't stop listening to them! I think he told me about that boat but I didnt had the chance to see it! But I dont think he is the same guy we talking about...

Hunter I would love to go out with you but I had a week ago a eye laser surjery to take off the need for glasses and i need 3 more weeks for fully recover. After that, I'm free too go!
