Re: Looking for female sailing companion..short term, with option to stay

Perhaps. But *we* make it so.

I remember once trying to argue with a hard-core, left-wing feminist, that her statement that "all men are rapists" was A) incorrect and B) sexist.

Now, if she'd only added the word *potential* before the word 'rapist', her statement might have made sense. And I'd have had to agree with her.

Although, I've always found odd the notion that "women need men like fish need bicycles".

I mean, did no-one think to ask the bicycles how they felt about the fish..??

Re: Looking for female sailing companion..short term, with option to stay

In my optimistic world, I believe TheLastPirate was being honest and sincere with no malice intended. Even if his post may have come across as looking for a long term hook up, I believe he meant no real harm. Both men and women get lonely and occasionally want to fill that void. Maybe it leads into something or maybe it's just a nice shared experience.

We must remeber this.

+1 - I concur.

And given the number of relationships that are supposedly fostered by online dating sites these days, can't see any reason why it wouldn't work for sailors as well as "normal folks"....

Oh. I see. Sailors are therefore NOT normal....

Sigh. Back to the drawingboard.....

We're high risk individuals. We might shove someone over to Dave Jones locker.

Maybe it was the line about the underwear metal detector that got every one going. Or maybe he meant underwater.

I actually didn't catch that and read it as underwater.

I finished that for you since you left your sentence open-ended.

My dear boatman61,

re:
References To homosexuals transsexuals demisexuals saprisexuals zombiesexuals nonsexuals and the inevitable formersexuals-but-now-foodsexuals, etc.

Should that set of initials include a 'p' for folks such as the long-accused (long-acursed...) Jeffrey Epstein?
.

.
PS:
I'll go ahead and self-issue a dreaded Third Infraction® so I can have a much-needed Time Out© in The Penalty Box™. Show of hands... how many are fed-up with individuals claiming SuperStatus™®© because of their newly-discovered kink(s)?

Did you see the story about the 'parents' in Bezerkly California fUSA; their offspring spontaneously declaring they were issued incorrect bodies? One decider is seven, the other is four... as in 'years old'.

This thread was started by a XY seeking an XX. That works for me, although his mention of metal detectors stirred an awakening of my long-dorment robotsexual 'thing'. So there is that.

I bet you attend church every Wednesday and Sunday and say prayers nightly while chanting, "Send them back" and "Who would walk hundreds/thousands of miles with a child". Mary and Jospeh come to my mind.

Re: Looking for female sailing companion..short term, with option to stay

I have done this - with charter boats and camper vans.

a) meet with mixed (all singles) crews who never met before and sail 2 weeks
b) travel in a camper with girls you only spoke to on the phone 3 times and than meet and start the journey.

The "trick" was - constantly repeating that there is a train station in the next city. everyone is free to leave the "set" any time. be friendly, leave people their freedoms and be gentle... the rest will develop naturally .

well... it was a (romantic) pleasure ALL the time. with 2 persons and with 8 persons.

none of the negative aspects mentioned here ever occured.

... maybe I was lucky
