looking for three flat earth theory followers

I'm looking for three flat earth theory followers to sponsor a circumnavigation next spring or summer to prove the earth is globe. I have Oceanis 350, that will be my part of the deal. You can write me PM.

If your goal is to get a Flat Earther to sponsor you, then your advertised goal should be to prove that the earth is flat.......regardless of whether you know the outcome. Nobody wants to support someone who's goal it is to prove you wrong.

Somehow I think you might have trouble finding them on a cruisers forum. Been awhile since the charts said, "here there be monsters." Personally I've never met someone who breaths the atmoflat.

You are right, it sounds strange, if people are found, they will have the opportunity to prove that they are right and I am wrong.

I agree with you, but the word can spread and someone will be interested!

The earth is flat, it just has curved edges so when your doing a circumnavigation all your doing is sailing over the curved edge to the underside and continuing your journey...
All Hail Gravity...

hi; flat earth believers can certainly be tolerated if that is more or less the only belief that differs from the skipper. sadly however this belief is usually interconnected with the JFK asasination, fake moon landings and a whole plethora of possible Q-anon thought that a jailed shaman is now a little slower to speak of lately. i'm unsure if i could be trapped offshore with a scenario you describe in a 350. at the very least a much larger boat may be needed. all the best. Oh contraire. Given the number of conspiracy theorist and anti-science folks on CF, I’d say the odds of filling the crew roster is excellent

Make sure you bring a sextant because ifthe earth is flat, the GPS satellites have all either disappeared in the space or come crashing down. Further, You may wish to bring a robust auxiliary vehicle. Your tolerance for unfounded nonsense may be exceeded and you may wish to abandon ship. .

You don't give gravity much credit... don't all sattilites orbits decay and they burn up as they fall down eventually...
It holds them as they swing past the curved edge at their programmed height.
Oh ye of little faith..

What a bunch of crap! If the Earth was flat, my cats would have pushed everything off the edge long ago.

By the way, the Moon is really made of cheese. I heard that from Buzz Aldrin. True story. Not the whole story, but true as far as it goes.

I’d be a flat earther for a cruise if I wasn’t kid bound. Sponsor? Not sure why I’d do that though.

Sure okay, except... That as a satellite gets further away from the center of mass in a flat earth it would have less gravitational attachment. So sooner rather than later it would just fly off into space. Those satellites orbiting the fictional round earth maintain a roughly similar distance to the center of mass and therefore the gravitational pull remains relatively constant. But hey, who am I to ruin a good conspiracy. Problem is I know too damn many physicists. Something must have rubbed off

If the earth is flat... logically so is the mass..

What happens if you get half way through and realize that they were right?
