My name is Lexi and I will be graduating from UC Berkeley in May. I wish to sail from the US to somewhere in Europe anytime from May on (preferably over summer) and would love to join as crew. I am not experienced in sailing, but am an eager and quick learner! Let me know if you have space for me!

I am a uni freshman and plan to sail for the first time during the summer holidays. Please mind sharing your experience/tips that you have picked up after the trip.

Hi Lexi, while I appreciate your youthful enthusiasm about sailing across the north Atlantic I would strongly suggest you get a little local spring experience sailing in the Bay Area. The north Atlantic is not somewhere you want to learn that you hate sailing/being trapped on a small boat with other people etc. just my $.10 and I hope you will take it to heart. Cheers

There's a great place to learn to sail in Berkeley. Check out Cal-Sailing down at the marina. It's an incredible resource. Pick up all the training, skills & experience you can there, and you'll be in good shape to take on blue water.

Lexi get a copy of Latitude 38 or go online. In the classified section look for the crew list. There are plenty of people looking for crew. We go out most weekends if you want to get some bay sailing.

I plan to do this trip next June 2023.
If ou have any interest let me know...
I also sail the New York canals From Lake Erie to New York mid may next year.
I usually sail alone but, I could use a couple of people for this trip.
