Crew Wanted: Panama to French Polynesia and beyond.

I intend to leave Panama in March and sail to Marquesas/French Polynesia and probably farther before finding somewhere to put the boat up for a while. I have a solid 40-foot monohull in good condition. I will consider taking one or two crew along. Must be low-key, easy to get along with. Experience is less important than temperament. Tell me a bit about yourself.

I would love to do this. The timeframe is exactly what I would choose.

I have sailed about 30 years, starting on small boats and lakes in Colorado.

I have an East-West Atlantic crossing under my belt; and a West-East.

What I love is ocean sailing. I'm a decent mechanic and good with
navigation and electronics. I want to see that Blue.

Let me know if you need crew to get through the Panama Canal. I live in El Valle and can be at a marina in three hours. I label myself "competent crew" and a "competent skipper of cats"

Okay, I'll keep that in mind. You probably speak Spanish too, yes?

You would think I can speak Spanish, but learning new languages is a weakness of mine.

I can usually communicate my needs and understand Spanish if I am spoken to like a child. I'm studying, and I get better each month of living there!
