Ready now to go anywhere

I build mountain bike trails in Vermont and our season is almost over. My sailing experience isn’t extensive, but I do have some. Several years ago I sailed from Fort Lauderdale to the Bimini islands with friends. More recently I helped crew on a racing boat for weekly races on, Malletts Bay, Vermont. This Summer I spent 5 days helping a friend move his boat up the Hudson River to it’s mooring at North Hero on Lake Champlain. I’ve also done a couple of overnight sails on Lake Champlain. My two year plan is to have my own boat. This seems like a perfect opportunity to gain valuable experience. I’m dependable, hard working, and follow directions, and committed to learning all I can. I do have my Covid vaccine.

I’m ready to go anytime from anywhere along the East coast. And I have all winter to do this. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks. Dwight

Re: Ready now to go anywhere

Hi -- Just saw your post. I need to get my yacht Orion back down to St. Thomas in November. (1380nm 9-11 days)

Looking to leave early/mid November (ideally 11/7)

She is a 2019 Lagoon 42 Catamaran in excellent condition. Google sail-orion if you want to see more of what she looks like.

I myself sailed her up from the BVIs this past July to Annapolis. She has 4 cabins/4 heads. 2x low engine hour 57hp yanmars, new B&G electronics w/ radar, generator, solar, water-maker, iridium fixed installed, and life raft. I also just fitted her with a Code Zero as well. I already have most of the equipment such as ditch bag, jacklines, offshore vests, satellite, radio etc from the last passage.

So far I have myself and a friend signed on to crew her, but could use an extra hand. We are a fun loving group. Orion has a youtube channel so you learn more about me. Please let me know if interested in joining the trip.

Thanks,
Sri

Re: Ready now to go anywhere

Dwight if you haven't found an opportunity, I have am looking to have a crew/guest join me from Jan-Feb in the Pensacola area on my Ranger 27 Tug. Then trailer her to Chattanooga, TN and cruise on the Tennessee River in March. PM me to discuss the details.
