I am looking for a responsible person who will attend my survey in Guadeloupe on February 11, 2019. Acting as the owners representative just to ensure the survey is very complete and report back to me via the phone afterward. S/V beneteau oceanis 41. It’s an ex- dream yacht boat. surveyors are called "experts" down there. there is a frenchie that is a good one with an office at the bas du fort marina very close to their boatyard

My experts (Surveyor) name is Martial Barriel on Guadeloupe, not sure if that’s guy you’re referring to. My expert requires an owners rep to be present for the sea trail.
I really just need someone for that portion of the survey. If you know the name of your guy that would be great.

sorry scott - i cant remember his name. he did an insurance survey for me. i paid him and that was the last of it. good luck with finding an "expert."

Martial did a survey for me, you can trust the guy. He will be very honest with you.
The only problem is that it is difficult for him to write the report in English. But if you can read French you are ok. The most important thing is that he will tell you if it is GO or a NO GO.
So I think you need nobody there.
