Ah man, that stuff is all fun. I've reno'd several boats including minor FRP work, engine, plumbing, sanding n repainting or varnishing, rigging and fitting, chainplate removal and replacing, minor electrical... all of it. Puttering on boats is my love!
Can easily provide professional references.
How long of a project do you anticipate?
Where in FL will the work be carried out?
Any availability for lodging nearby?
Gimme a shout at eavisw@ns.sympatico.ca
Tell me more, please.

Re: Sailboat: Helper Wanted $$

I feel like this is in the wrong forum. This isn't crew wanted - this is help wanted.

So-- you might wanna bring this up to the Admins-- because this is where they instructed me to post this ad-- as I asked prior to posting... I take it you are a thread commentator and not a participant in this thread?

Re: Sailboat: Helper Wanted $$

troy h: CF does not have a "help wanted" sub-forum, so "crew wanted" seemed to be the best fit, and considering the nature of the request, even appropriate.

For the mod team,

Jim

$17 an hour.. you are joking right... most places are 85-100 an hour..
beware the quality of labor you get for $17/hr...

Yeah, but the places that are charging $100 an hour are not paying their workers $100 an hour. I think you are getting confused about that.

He’s not looking for a shop. He’s an individual boat owner looking for someone to hire. Completely different.

Not only that, you didn’t even read the thread.

Re: Sailboat: Helper Wanted $$

maybe but I charged more than $60 an hour doing home repairs.
so $17 is a joke. my opinion.
if you want to work for $17/hr go for it. its not worth my time.
