Re: Sailing from New York to Australia for a year!

If I had the right parts, I'd go too. Nothing like a good long sailing trip to solve all life's problems. I mean that seriously.

Be a trip I'd love to take on if I was in the position to. Could even if close to brissy can run across my mates in Toowoomba. One day I'll get to there by water besides plane. Fair winds and safe journey. Even if you are leaving from about 40 min from where I live by NYC.

Leanne,
This is *exactly* the kind of situation I'd love to find! Alas, I am a complete newbie and you need salty gals. Major high fives for doing an 'all female' voyage and pumping it via social media (check out Patreon.com if you haven't already, too)! Lilith's got your back ;-)

Re: Sailing from New York to Australia for a year!

Sophie and David a French American couple at your service. ASA bareboat charter endorsement. We are both studying for our captains license in France and the US. We speak French and English. We have less than the experience you are requesting but we have experience crewing on a 65 foot sloop for day sail charters. Currently, we are boat sitting a 32 foot steel sloop in Miami Beach. We are handling general maintenance, charging batteries, fixing water tanks, propane dinghy engine mechanics, standing and running rigging troubleshooting, solar system maintenance (inverter, batteries, charge controllers). Send us an email and we can link up on facebook or the like. lolafamily1016@gmail.com
