I do need to correct your(understandable) incorrect belief that Jasmine's sail will be a Hasler-McLeod design.

In fact the design was by Victor Winterthun and is cambered using the barrel cut method developed by Arne Kverneland.
Both gentlemen are Norwegians.

The sail was made at my ranch and will join the mast and boat in Durban in early October.

Cool! Yes, my mistake, Victor Winterthun i hadnt read anything yet about his design. Arne Kverneland i m aware of his contribution to modern chambered junks.

I will see if i can take a pic of the sais i have, maybe you will know who's design it is. That will be in a week from now, when i m back on my boat.

So Jasmine is a double ender, heavy displacement hull? Seems very well suited for a junk rig, with lots of buoyancy forward doesnt it?
