Skipper for Hyannis to Baltimore

I have a Bristol 45.5 that I need to move from the south Cape Cod area to Baltimore, in late August, or early September. Please contact me if this sounds like it will fit your schedule.

Re: Skipper for Hyannis to Baltimore

Hello from Annapolis I am interested. I've made this and similar trips or portions of it dozens of times, both directions, power and sail, coastal, inland, offshore from Cape Dory 28 to Amel 52 to Chris Craft 60 and I am available. Excellent credentials including MMC 100 ton, STCW, former Outward Bound instructor, ASA certified to advanced coastal cruising instructor, former owner of 38' sloop, subjected to random drug testing for over a decade. Please see my website www.foerfront.com. I will send you a PM. Thanks

Re: Skipper for Hyannis to Baltimore

Thanks to all of the talented Skippers who have responded, either through DM or in this forum, to my request for help; I am amazed at the quality of delivery Captains on this forum.

I should have clarified that the boat is under contract, and the surveyor found a series of compliance and priority items that need to be addressed. As the soon-to-be new owner (located in South Florida), it seems that I will be the one to either fix them or arrange for someone else to do the work. This will probably delay my initial splash date and the delivery times.

I will get back to those who indicated they are more flexible with dates as soon as I figure this out.

Thanks again to so many talented Skippers!

This is helpful. Anything other than minor items will almost assuredly delay your plans unless you are able to definitely secure qualified service providers and quickly. I think it would be in your interest to get some approximate completion dates determined and contracted and then whomever you choose as skipper can plan accordingly and be of assistance perhaps with service details.

Re: Skipper for Hyannis to Baltimore

Again, thanks to all who responded here, but unfortunately the deal fell due to the volume of work that was needed. With several additional deferred maintenance items uncovered, it simply became a long-term project just to get it in the water.

I have 2 other sailboats that I'm seriously looking at, and I expect to reach out for a skipper again shortly.
