Volunteer crew for Chesapeake to Maine

Single handed sailor looking for one good sailor to crew with me for part or all of an approximately 120 day cruise from the Chesapeake to Rockland Maine, this summer, and back to the Chesapeake, in the fall. Whether you’re looking to build hours or just enjoy some time on the water, I’d love to have the company.

The rough plan is: north from Annapolis, C&D canal, cape may, NYC, LI sound, Mystic, block island, Narraganset, Martha’s vinyard, cape cod canal, Boston, Portland, Rockland. Many stops to take in the history and culture of the places we’ll visit.

Call or text 406-581-6235 if you’re interested or have questions.

What would you like to know? Star Fire is a Moody 34. She’s in Greta shape. The engine is in tip top. New sails in 2021. Main w/ 2 reefs, 135% Genoa. Center cockpit with aft cabin.

I’m pretty easy going. As a former employer, I am good at giving direction without being “bossy.” My main rule is, “if you’re not endangering the boat, the crew or, myself it’s allowed. If you’re not laughing you’re not living. (Or scared shitless, as there are times like that on a boat.) I have one cat onboard. She never leaves the boat.

Planning on Chesapeake, C&D, Delaware bay, round cape may (too tall for the canal) NYC, LI sound, Mystic, Narraganset, fisherman’s island, block island, Martha’s vinyard, maybe Nantucket, cape cod canal, Plymouth, boston, Portland, Rockland. Head south around end of September. I’d really like to attend the Annapolis boat show in October.

What else would you like to know?
