Re: Global Warming Opens Up Antarctic Waterways

Another thing that confuses me is why the solution to climate change always involves regressing to costly and inefficient power sources.

Why hasn't this coal technology been celebrated and adopted world wide?

Capturing history: Clean coal project in Estevan is online

Maybe because it doesn't fit in with subsidized green power?

I guess Saskatchewan actually has some brains and hopefully can sell their technology to China etc while here in North America we insist on wind & solar.

Volume loss from Antarctic ice shelves is accelerating

(It's been so long, but I recall this thread had something to do with the antarctic and ice...)

Bear in mind that I'm just another MMGW myth believer, sucked in by the science/eco/greenie/soshulist world conspiracy. Thank God for clear-eyed, freedom-loving, self-made men and women to set us straight. Until the ocean starts lapping at their doorsteps, anyway...

For every article you find saying that the Antarctic ice is shrinking I can find one that says it's growing.

Growing Antarctic Ice Sheets May Have Sparked Ice Age

Just grab a beer and relax. When the Maldives sink under water I'll call you and we can panic together.

Good for you. Have you found any that suggest that Florida is rising out from a dropping ocean level?

Wait until Southport disappears underwater - then you can call me and we'll both panic. I won't be holding my breath.

That would be a disaster!.... and it would mean the La Tubs in Hollywood would already be under water.

Florida has lots of sinkholes. It's a flat sponge.
Maybe instead of rising seas (haven't noticed any at my place in the PNW) maybe Florida land is subsiding.

For those of you in Rio Linda, that means land could be SINKING.

Did you bother to read more than the title? It doesn't say ice sheets are increasing.

Pacific island nations are already seeing flooding due to to climate change, and they're saying so: 'We are fighting for survival,' Pacific islands leader warns | Environment | The Guardian

For the thread topic, here's IPCC Arctic ice projections, and actual data. Decreases are even worse than predicted.

The article, as the title suggests, is about the ice sheets as related to the last Ice Age. Read before you post!

Re: Global Warming Opens Up Antarctic Waterways

I find it curious that the some of the same folks who would never question the influence of El Nino (ENSO) -- a cyclical warming of the sea surface -- on global weather patterns would nonetheless deny any possible connection between a more generalized warming and an alteration of weather patterns.

How is that?!

Chemtrailing is the publics term for the CLASSIFIED ONGOING artificial modification of Earths climate systems using reflective nano-materials (aerosols) to reflect sunlight. The aerosols are dispersed via jet aircraft trails that expand into reflective artificial clouds.
