Cool Re: 1960s Spencer 35 MK1. Too Old? Worth it? Anyone one have info on them?

Hi Everyone, I am a new member from New Zealand.
Recently I purchased the sister ship to Hal Roths Spenser 35 WISPER, called VELEDA.
After 1 and a half times around the globe, she was sitting up in a cradle in Auckland, NZ. Had come down from Tonga and sold to a local here.
Been sitting for about 13 years, paint was lifting and lots of basic maintenance needed plus new motor/sails/rudder/propellor and tanks cleaned, etc.

The main concern was the hull, but all good and zero leaks as hull/deck 1 piece with the only holes the hatch/portholes/companionway.
I expected the Towrail to be rotten but no, just a good sand and reseal.
Not far away from the spash date, then will be sailing up and down the coast between Tauranga and the Bay of Islands for about a year, then see what happens.
Possible continue 2nd circumnavigation back to B.C. where she was built in 1966 ( yacht 33 ) via Top of Australia/India/Africa/England/Bahamas/Panama/California.
Will be starting a YOUTUBE CHANNEL at splash time.
I was lucky and found a Spenser 35, found it good to learn about it (very soild bluewater yachts ) as I repainted and checked etc.
Interested in finding out info about her and the full history.
Call Sign is VELEDA CZ 6267. If you know anything that could help make a post or email me.I have also just joined the Spenser Facebook Group but never used Facebook before, ( at 67 too old !!! ) too busy with ticking off the bucket list.

So cool that Veleda is getting another chance. I met the old owner Ben in the Tuamotus in 2008 and buddy boated all the way to NZ with him. The boat was in pretty rough shape when he bought it in Mexico, but it saw him well across the Pacific. Here's some pics from back when I was cruising with Veleda.
