1969 Islander 30

Hi all!

So I'm planning on purchasing a 1969 islander 30 raised deck soon, but am having a hard time finding any sort of information on this boat. Sailboatdata says that it is a raised deck version of the islander 29, and tidbits of information on the internet make me think that she is a solid boat. I was wondering if anyone else had experience with the 30? Just some more general information would be really appreciated. The one I'm looking at appears in good condition. I live in Florida and will probably use it for coastal cruising to the keys and maybe the Bahamas.

familiar with that particular model, but some of those old Islanders were built pretty well. All the cautions of a boat that old apply. Looks like it is pretty shallow draft so a good Fl/Bahama boat. Does it have the longer keel like many of it's cousins?

Thanks for the reply Cheechako. Yeah, the owner describes it as a cutaway full keel. I haven't gotten a good look at it yet, but I imagine this is the swept back keel type you're talking about.
