Oh yeah!! I had Tops-in -Quality make me a new stemhead fitting and 12 new chainplates (yawl rig).
If wooden spars, check all that mast stuff as well.

Mind you--the old ones did still have Chinese characters written on them, so they had lasted 30 yrs.

we are just beginning on our sailing adventures however what we have heard some of the older built boats are more solid and worthy of ocean cruising. Just have to check the basics of rot and rust etc.. good luck with your new adventure.. keep us all posted.. laurie and tony

those are great cruisers---go anywhere- just make sure the stainless bits are good and replaced about every 25-30 yrs...
