1974 26 Foot Grampian

I have slight damage to on the front of the hull. There is a metal strip there and it’s dented and broken in places. My understanding is that this is a Solid Fiberglass Hull (there is no balsa wood sandwich). When the boat was made would it have been joined at the nose or would it have been one piece that came out of a mould. Not sure how long it’s been like this Will it have caused any damage to fiberglass How do I fix.

Welcome aboard David! As Orion Jim says, pictures will really help. Grampian has a good reputation. I am not sure if the hull is joined at the bow; it is possible it is. But that doesn't necessarily mean it isn't strong. If there are no leaks and no major chunks missing from the bow, then I'd guess some cosmetic repairs and a new metal strip will take care of it.
