1987 O'Day 40

Last Fall I bought a 1987 O'Day 40 and spent the winter working on her, fiberglass work and installed all new Garmin NEMA 200 electronics. I have only seen one other O'Day in my area. I was wondering what i can expect from the boat. It seems to sail and handle nice, but would like some info from those who have been sailing one for a while.

Three of us delivered an O'Day 40 from Annapolis to Bermuda days after hurricane Noel past by. The tanks were dirty and we sailed for several days with no engine or battery power. At times we were in 30 knots plus, sailing at night, with head lamps, compass and an occasional GPS hand held check, and that O'Day handled like a dream in large seas. For the money I think it's a great boat, if in good condition.
