2005 Bavaria 46 or 2002 Beneteau 50?

Imminently buying a boat in Croatia to cruise the Mediterranean for a year starting in June. Down to a choice of 2 boats. A 2005 Bavaria 46 or a 2002 Beneteau 50. Really, I'm sure we'll be delighted with either but if anyone has any solid opinion either way, we'd love to hear it. Both are outfitted equally (or will be at about the same price when we're done) so it comes down to the things we may not be apparent without experience on board. Much appreciated if you have feedback.

Went with the Beneteau. No need to reply to this anymore. Now it's planning for getting away for a year in the Med.

My friends chartered the 46 and had very bad problems with steering (jamming at heel). Check your sample before devoting&dedicating.

Probably the age is less important than how much and how a specific boat was used.

Beneteau 50 used to be designed by Bruce Farr but there are so many different Bene 50's now that I'm not sure if a 2002 is Farr design.... but I think it is.

cheers,
Nick.
