32 O'Day ?

How is it is rough seas and what are its limitations? Anybody have one or something similar? What did you do with it? Likes vs dislikes?

Not the first time I see Philsboat posting about his experience with the ODay 322. First, the OP could be talking about the Oday 32 not the 322, very different boats.

Regarding the keel, I own a 322, and take issue with your generalization about the boat....similar to your story, I know a friend who lost his J105 when it lost the keel, and heard a story about a J109 losing it's keel, I also heard a story of a Pearson losing it's keel and recently a Bene, I wonder if you would generalize about all the boats that have lost their keels...with old boats is mostly about maintenance...take care of your boat and it will take care of you....

To the OP, if you are asking about the 322, I will be more than happy to answer any questions you might have.

Sorry if my post bothered you Asylum.Came very close to losing a good friend.
Just wanted to point out a possible flaw in an otherwise nice boat.
A qualified boat surveyor could put a boatowners mind at rest about the keel integrity.

From the way it sounds, I am better off with the 322, even though I was originally asking about the 32. So info on either.

Re: 32 O'Day ?

One review of O'Day boats said that some of them had iron ballast in the keel and rust badly if they are not coated in rust preventer.
Did O'Day still use iron ballast in 1992?

I'm looking at one
