A boat for my needs --- around 35 ft.

I'm looking for a used sailboat in the 35 ft. range for the Carribean , Florida and Bahammas. I have some experience with Lazars and cats when I was younger.

$50 K range

sleeps 4 for weeks at a time, but not a perm. liveaboard

somewhat easy to sail, not into racing

easy to find parts , low maintence

Thanks

Aloha,
Welcome aboard!!
I like Allied, Westsail, Island Packet, Pacific Seacraft, Pearson and many more in your price range. Catalinas are ok. Its best to go look but you can look them up on different websites. Just do a search for "Sailboat for sale" and you'll come up with lots of different places to look at photos.
My preference would be fiberglass, aft cockpit, diesel engine and cutter rig but that's just me.
Good luck in your search and ask about each as you look.
Kind Regards,
JohnL

Try New and Used Yachts for Sale - YachtWorld.com And do a search for the type of boat you're looking for.

I don't know where you are looking but all that I've seen in the size are right at your price range. Oh well!! If you are really interested in a boat make an offer much lower than asking price. It is a buyers market.

Another source, see: Advance Search

That's a good size for what you propose and $50K ought to provide you several opportunities worthy of consideration without have to travel too far...
