ABC3 Antifouling and Barnacles

I heard good things about PPG's ABC3 antifouling, so I decided to use it for bottom paint when I had the boat out of the water this year. After a month in the bay here in Grenada, the good news is that there is no grass or moss growing on the boat. The bad news is that the entire bottom is covered with barnacles, and I have quite a big scraping job awaiting me.

This area is notorious for bad growth, so I'm wondering what other people's experience are with this product?

I have no experience with that product, but if barnacles have "covered" your bottom after only 4 weeks it is a clear indication that it is useless. You don't actually say how long it has been since you had the boat out of the water.....does "this year" mean 2018 or 2017?

The boat was splashed at the end of October. The growth only started once I anchored in this particular bay. I think this bay is notoriously bad for growth though, and I'm not sure it's the fault of the antifouling, but I'd certainly be inclined to try a different product next time...

Sounds more like fertilizer than antifoul.

The growth in Panama is very bad also, but once past the Galapagos is pretty light.
