Adams 13 question

Hi, all I have a very specific question relating to the centerboard on my Adams 13. It bangs when it drops down it has always done this and it passed survey with as thorough inspection of the housing as possible. My question is to other owners of this specific design and if they had any system to prevent this from occurring? I assume that the design must have been over engineered to the max and that it’s basic premise is sound! It has been around for a long while. Still, I would like to prevent it if possible. Really looking to hear from other Adams dropping not hydraulic design owners. ATM we are putting a few wraps on a block and that slows it but doesn’t eliminate the impact from the drop design.
Cheers, Dan

Re: Adams 13 question

I’m not sure you could totally eradicate that sound. I lower from the winch slowly.
