Advice on Jeanneau 47 Sun Kiss ? Wauquiez Centurian 49 ?

Hi all,

I'm so appreciative of this forum ... thanks in advance for any advice.

Am seriously considering a Jeanneau 47 Sun Kiss and wondering if anyone has experience with this boat (am looking at a 1987).

Also seriously considering a Wauquiez 49 Centurian (similiar vintage, late 80's)

Any advice? Problems (wondering about centerboard hassles/advantages of Jeanneau?) Raves?

Use will be liveaboard primariy in Caribbean, with some light chartering, and passage to Maine in summers.

Thanks, all

It's been some time since you posted, but in case you haven't bought a boat yet get in touch. I have sailed plenty miles with the Sun Kiss.
Cheers.

Thanks for your note, George ... actually are still without boat and not in market just now but it was nice of you to write.

Know anything about how an American (USCG) captain's license would work on charters in the Mediterranean?

I really don't have any idea. Sorry! I am a professional skipper here in Greece and I'm pretty sure each country has (enforces) it's own rules. Keep in mind that theres a lot of illegal chartering and skippering going on.
Cheers.
