Hey, I've been looking at the Allied boats. If you come across one for sale let me know. I think you picked a great value boat. Just the right size too. <swift.sailor@gmail.com>

Re: Allied Ready To Go

Best of luck.
When I was younger, I sailed half way around the world on a shoe string budget and in a far less well found boat. We did all of our own maintenance, including painting the bottom tied up to pilings when the spring tide went out.
One thing that I do recommend is a dinghy that is as big as you can get safely on board.

Re: Allied Ready To Go

Saw the boat out in the yard and have to say it's had a ton of work done to it. Looks almost new, sorry you were delayed by a season but it looks sooooo close at this point.
Hope all goes your way over the winter and she sees the water this spring.
I just finished writing up the 4 page list of things to do to the Cheoy Lee we picked up, the sail back from Maine was "enlightening", nothing big, just a million little things that need attention.
Just might be looking at your parts collection once I get into the thick of it.
Good Luck!

Re: Allied Ready To Go

I tried to look at the blog, but I guess it's gone.

Is there a way to track the re-fit for us curious enough to track it down?
