Any Info About Northern Sailboats ?

Does anyone have any info in Northern Marine Sailboats? I think I know the answer, but I would hate to miss out on a "diamond in the rough." Does anyone have info about Northern Marine?

There is a firm at http://www.northernmarine.com but they are a builder of large powerboats and do not show sailboats as a previous model. There is also a Northern Marine in the UK, but they appear to build canal boats.

So any insight into Northern Marine Sailboats, would be appreciated.

Bill

Snore, I know of a company called Northern Yacht that produced sailboats in Ajax, Ontario, Canada in the 1970's. They produced a 25, a 29 and a 37 that were designed by Sparkman and Stephens, as well as a 1/4 tonner. As to 'Northern Marine Sailboats', I can't help you there.

Southern Star and Gordon,

Thanks with the assist, especially the correct name of the manufacturer I was able to troll around the various forums and confirm my first hunch....

Curious, what was your hunch, and what did you confirm?

I could not find a lot of data. So I went back to my first thought- Tartans. I am the proud owner of Hull #33 of the Tartan 33 line.

OK, I was thinking your hunch was structural weakness, blisters, or the like.

Thanks!

Oops my bad! And the draft was 5'8". Since the Boca Inlet is dredged to about 6', that was too close for comfort.
