Anyone ever sail a Tartan Fantail 26

I am looking for a nice daysailor that is easy to sail in the 22-29' range. Mostly to day sail, a few hours. Possible overnight, though infrequent. Want to be able to get on the boat and go. Don't want to have to tweak lots to sail it. Just want to sit with a friend or 2 and enjoy the wind.

So do not recommend a J70 ;-)

I have come across the Catalina 275 and Tartan Fantail. The Bene in this size looks too performance oriented.

So has anyone sailed a Fantail, and is it set and forget or is it more like a J boat?
