Anyone know what this boat is?

Hi, just wondering if anyone knows what this boat is. I don't know anything about it other than the family on it are french, and they owned for 3 years. Maybe a European design??

Anyway, thanks for having a look.

I love a good challenge. Nothing jumps out at me. But then it is hard to see behind all the accoutrements. This one will need those familiar with European boats I bet, like you say. Might be faster to learn how to say "what is your boat?" in French.
That cabin reminds me of a Freya, which it is not, but perhaps Swedish.
Boatman could be right, a Bruce Roberts design, I just haven't seen one like that.

Re: Anyone know what this boat is?

We had a Bruce Roberts Offshore 44 and it looked exactly like that.

Re: Anyone know what this boat is?

It is a BOAT, which stands for BREAK OUT ANOTHER THOUSAND. But time has passed and I'd say it no longer is A Thousand, but more correctly BOAT means "BREAK OUT ANOTHER THOUSANDS", grammar is off a bit, but you get the picture I hope.

Re: Anyone know what this boat is?

Go to the owner and say...
"Qu'est que c'est?" Probably spelled wrong, but pronounced..
'Kest ke seah'
It is French (obviously) and means "What is that?"
As a boater, he will be delighted to talk about it.

Re: Anyone know what this boat is?

I think we can rule out the one Gord May found: it's a cutter, and the one in question is a ketch. Sorry, Gord, that one you found looks like a really nice boat!

Re: Anyone know what this boat is?

I don't know what it is, but I can tell you it is most definitely not a Bruce Roberts 40.
I had one called Summerwine. Not too many 40's built.
That transom might be a bit of a give a way to the design though.
