Back, with another boat

Hi People

Back, this time with a resto project
I used to come on here with a Trimaran build, but I gave that to someone else to finish, and now I'm back with the following:

An Admiral 31, Center cockpit, full fiberglass boat with Vetus m3.10, build in Belgium in 1980 by Plastic Works in Wemmel.

What are the plans? Renovating/Updating it.

With what and how U might ask?

The future will tell. As yall might know very well, plans never need to be carved in stone, especially with a boat.

What I can tell U ( cause thats one of the first things I bought ...) it'll get its electricity from a 12v 480Ah LFP house bank system with a Victron Smartsolar Controller and 390w panels, continuously balanced by a Passive and an active balancer.

What have I done already?

Took out all unnecessary junk

Ripped out the interior lining (roof and sides) because I want to go with PVC foam lining.

Removed all electrical wires, switches and fuses (they were the solid, non tinned kinda wires, with no heat shrink connectors etc... ,which i a big nono on boats...)
I will install new switches, new fuse blocks, busbars, all tinned stranded wire, yellow and red (as per color code requirements) with head shrinked terminals (All in stock and ready to play with)

Removed the diesel stove together with its chimney and fuel line, to get rid of that awfull smell.

Removed the toilet ( a chemical one) as it will be replaced in the future with a composting toilet ( the DIY kind )

Working on a new hatch for the front cabin, as the old one is on its last legs.

Started removing the Non Skid, which is a pain in the behind.
First tried to remove it with a grinder but the non skid kinda froze it in place.
(The non skid made the grinder kinda not grind )
Next option, as it seems to be the stick it on kind of non skid, is a heat gun and peel it off. I only found 1 vid on youtube about this, so hopefully this works

Anyways, thats it for now.
I'll post some more in the future, if and when I have updates...

Re: Back, with another boat

Hi All, I don't quite know what to say about this.
But being another Admiral 31 owner I must say that after being in full contact with him the last time I heard from him (Gwen) was over a year ago (about May or June 2022)

Then he said that due to his circumstances (His distance from boat, covid ect), that the boat was being cut up for landfill,

shortly following this his 'Admiral 31' facebook website also vanished offline & all contact attempts on my part have since have failed!
