Anybody have any info on these Spanish built yachts? I am going to take a look at one next week. Anything in particular to look for, weaknesses, structural issues... Any info would be helpful.

Thanks!

Where are you going to look at one? Do you read Spanish? There is a fair amount of information in Spanish on these boats, very little in English.

I just realized that your post is almost a year old. Did you go look at this boat?

I've been aboard a Belliure 41 before, and it's probably the same one that you went to see. They are interesting boats, but I felt like the layout was very strange with the galley being forward of the main salon.

Yes, definitely a different interior layout than the normal layouts with a galley next to the companionway.

I can't figure out if I think the 41's layout is actually better as the person cooking can do so without any interference with the running of the boat. However, it also makes cooking and serving food to folks that may be on watch out in the cockpit a bit more difficult.

I'm also thinking about when bringing in supplies. Is it better that the person in the kitchen can just focus on putting everything away with having all the bags of food sitting up at the floor of the salon? It actually looks like it may work even better that the standard layout when I've always felt like I'm fighting with where the bags are put and then getting them into their respective storage locations...

I guess I'd just have to live with that layout for a time to see which is better.
