Beneteau First 1982, "cockpit plaque" (HIN) not readable

Hello


For a new registration I should provide a photo of the "cockpit plaque" (where the HIN is printed).


But it's not readable anymore. Sigh.


Does anybody know if the HIN is somewhere printed inside the boat ?


Or if Beneteau can provide a replacement "plaque" ?

The HIN should be engraved or molded in at the starboard side of the stern. There may also be one inside in some "secret" location, you'd have to contact the builder to find that. If there's a placque in the cockpit, it's not official and may not even the number you need. My previous boat had such a placque but the number on it was just the series number for that model, not the HIN.

Vast majority of Beneteaus have the HIN's poorly etched or molded in the upper starboard topsides, just below the rubrail near the stern. Don't expect it to be any more legible.
