Above - A moulded HIN on a US built Beneteau normally looks like.
This correct 12 didgit code without a pre-fix shows that the boat was built in Marion SC in April 1998 for the 1998 model year.

Thanks. Very useful information to confirm a known hull number. i am looking to purchase a relatively new boat 40 to 44 ft. but not sure which years and models were made in the U.S. to start the search.
