Thank you for the kind replies.

You guys are great. I will poke my head in from time to time and share some of that "candor" (very polite way to put it... ha ha ha) that I have shared from time to time.

The land boat is just that.... it's just like a boat inside, but it's an RV I took a month to custom build.

It's got the following equipment:

Norcold propane refer/freezer
Microwave
Sink/Fresh water system
Propane stove... and yes... you guys are right. It's great! ha ha, but it's simple to fill up since I can drive my tank to any filling station.
Dickinson Lofoten diesel heater - nice to sleep through the night, but OUCH... wood is cheaper.
Beds, dressers, reglar galley with galley cabinets, etc...
Grey water tank and a porta-potty.
4 Trojan t105's
twin Iota DLS 90s
5KW genset
High power 12v vent fan

All in all, just like a boat... but on land. I was considering possibly building these for folks, but have a few other ideas in mind that may be less "marketing intensive" than launching a new super-RV company.

Thanks again for all the kind words. You guys are the best.

And yes... the sale of the boat was the right thing to do. Getting back the money we poured into her and getting out from debt feels like winning the lottery! ha ha

Sean: As we're currently in a boatyard awaiting rudder repairs, I recall the old adage of the two best days of owning a boat.

I have owned 5 now I can say few have lived up to the adage. I enjoyed/loved each one. They're gone but not forgotten.\

My best to you both wherever lifes journey takes you.

Sean

There are good ships,
and there are wood ships,
The ships that sail the sea.
But the best ships, are friendships,
And may they always be.

Hi Sean,

Good luck in your new adventure!

If it's convenient, I would appreciate you posting pictures of your "land yacht."

We're considering letting go of the "liveaboard a sailboat in retirement" dream, and shifting to an "RV in warmer climate for the winter" dream. Much less cost, and satisfy our sailing itch w/ an occasional charter when we can afford it.

Would also be interested in key measurements of your "rig." (e.g. length, weight, etc.

Thanks much!!
Bob
