Ha, I spent this AM pilling my spare MD7A out of the basement. I am putting it in our storage trailer.

I love the MD6A and MD7A engines. If you ever decide to unload the MD7A, let me know. I might be interested in it. Do you by any chance know if the engine mount measurements are the same for both engines?

No I dont, sorry.

HOWEVER, the workshop manual I have is foe both engines.

I believe the MD7A and MD7B are nearly identical except for bore and stroke. The A being 13hp and the B 17hp. The 6A and 7A have the same stroke but different bore.

No worries. I've been looking at various websites and threads. I'm hoping that somewhere in the specs this will be listed. Still, it's not that big of a deal. Thanks for the reply!

I gotta say, my buddy has an MD7A and our mechanic friend rebuilt it (screaming about the parts prices the whole way,) but now that it is done I have never heard a diesel engine purr so smoothly! It should be good for a few more generations.

Re: Boats Less Than $30K Recent Noteworthy Finds

I've only been viewing this thread for a couple weeks but I came across this boat and thought I'd post it.

https://www.sailboatlistings.com/view/91851

I'm currently on the search for a liveaboard and went to see this boat a few days ago, from what I've gathered the hull is solid and the rigging has been redone in 2015 due to hurricane damage. The current owner races the boat so the rigging is bound to be solid, only downside of the boat is the lacking interior.

Well I always wanted t o list a vessel in the thread. Most I come across you guys have it listed. The price sounds ok for a trailer /daysailer that is trailable. The reason I am posting this is it is in my general area. Never see much in this area. I have a catalina 30 that I am looking to sell and want to go larger. 38 to 42 feet. I want 2 cabins And one in my general area. However if I could get I deal on transport I would look along the coasts or great lake areas.

Welcome to the forum. If it sits for a month they would be open to offers. I would bet it coulod be had for $15K. Yes a good liveaboard and a great way of learning how to work on a boat.

You could always start there, fix it up and flip it.
