They ad says needs water pump and fresh water pump for that vetus is $500
So if I'm serious I'd need to source from a farm tractor engine

Thank you was wondering as my little 10-two is a mitsubishi k2b

A $65 water pump is a lot better price . Now to find out what else it needs

That list of needs doesn't sound like $7500 to me

I bet the trick is finding a slip for her though.

Re: Boats Less Than $30K Recent Noteworthy Finds

Seems like all those items are nice-to-haves, and not really things I would look at as part of my decision process. Probably a good deal for someone if the hull, rig, and engine are in good shape.

Other than the hot water heater and the engines fw pump the rest is a trip to the scrap yard for me .
Unless it's a domestic water pump then it's shop stock . Most expensive then to bring it home is the starting battery .

Cranking battery is kind of a needed item but the rest yes if domestic water pump . They are only a C note anyway .

If it was already in Seattle area I would have already purchased it .
Just not good time to slog north from Astoria.

Re: Boats Less Than $30K Recent Noteworthy Finds

Likely anyone buying it would probably be from some other area within 800 miles. So it might be wise to put it in a yard somewhere close to the new owner. Rent would be cheap and could go through the boat thoroughly. That might cost $5K but well worth it for that boat.

I do not kmow much about sailing or boats yet but saw this posted on Reddit - https://eastnc.craigslist.org/boa/d/...605275081.html

Camper Nicholson 31
Excellent condition many recent repairs and upgrades. Call with questions.
In the water near Beaufort NC

Redditors were complaining about how slow it would be. The interior looks very nice!

Depends on your idea of speed she is 24 ft on the waterline so a hull speed of about 6.5 knots

Great sailboats.. to my mind much better than the 32.
I would be on it in a heartbeat, especially in that condition if I was in the States..

Nice boat! It's hard to say if the price is fair as there is no year of manufacture, nor what engine, nor how many hours on the engine.

If it's about 1980, and has a low-hours diesel (that is, the engine has been replaced) the price would be reasonable.

As for speed; it's not how fast you go with a sailboat, it's whether you finish the journey...

There's one for sale in the UK... 1979 for £27500 so she's well priced.

Yep, but the delivery charges? Oh my goodness...!

UK-built boats are uncommon over here, and they often sell for $=£.
