Incredible deal. But gone are the days of the young adventurers that cast fate to the wind for the chance of adventure.

Beautiful boat.

From the survey: "This vessel is not considered by me to be suitable for safe, reliable pleasure cruising at this time."

There are many threads with "some" good suggestions. Where is your boat?
There’s actually no core. It’s fiberglass. So I’m assuming a deck has some delimitation. I expected to spend ~ $15,000 +\- in repairs. The boat is west coast Florida.

That is not correct. The deck is cored with plywood...
"The deck and cockpit, like the hull, are molded as a single unit of a combination of polyester resin and fiberglass woven roving and MCSF. Plywood coring is incorporated between layers of fiberglass in the cabin top, deck, seat, and cockpit sole areas to give additional stiffness."

We’ve looked but no wood coring. Talked to other Watkins 36CC owners and they confirmed. There is wood near the hatches. Have taken out screws, no evidence of a core. I’ve read that description but haven’t found where they have laid a core.

Taking down the headliner looks like previous owner tried to do some weird brace job from underneath.

Here is another boat in the North East.
Price reduction has put it just under $30K.
